Autochart Pro and SI Mosaics - Record on an 1198 and shown on a 998HD???

I'd like to be able to record SI data on my 1198, load it onto my PC, and create an SI Mosaic to view as a map on my 998HD. Does this sound possible?

Yes that can be done. Just need to use the ZeroLine Card to Export Maps to, so it can be viewed on the unit. You can purchase extra ZeroLine Card and export twice then have it available on both units.

Maps do not share on the network. Same as a Lakemaster chip, or a Navionics chip. If you want to view on two units, you need to buy two cards.

so if a friend of mine who has a 798HD records sonar and so do i on an onix 8 si, can we both put that info on AC Pro and make one map together and export to AC zero line and will it show on onix and 798hd ???

Yes, here's how it would work:
798ci HD makes a sonar recording.
Onix 8 SI makes a sonar recording.
Import both sonar recordings into AutoChart Pro on your computer, create the map, and send to you ZeroLines SD card.
Now, your ZeroLines SD card acts like a Lakemaster chip, and can be viewed on EITHER the 798 OR the Onix. But not on both at the same time.
