iTrack from AutoChartPro to 1199 Issue Empty iTrack from AutoChartPro to 1199 Issue

Post by TheGooly Tue Jun 21, 2016 7:52 pm

Hi there,
Hoping someone can help.
I created Tracks and iTracks in AutoChartPro. Some iTracks are duplicates of Tracks (All under the 2 mile limit.) My issue is that when I go to upload iTracks to my 1199 the 1199 will not recognize or upload them. All waypoints and Tracks generated in ACPro upload fine. As a test I created an iTrack file on the 1199 and exported to my SD card. Besides the iTrack (hit) file there was also a DATA.hwr file. Both files are named the same: IE: DATA.hit & DATA.HWR. The iTrack itself is IT001 (As displayed on the 1199). I’m not able to find anything in the AutoChartPro literature about HWR files along with iTrack files. I'm also unable to locate a solution in the help file.

I've got HB looking into this as well but as my annual fishing trip starts next Tuesday, I'm reaching out wherever I can. Any thoughts or insight welcome.
Cheers,

TheGooly

iTrack from AutoChartPro to 1199 Issue Empty iTrack from AutoChartPro to 1199 Issue - Solution?

Post by TheGooly Tue Mar 07, 2017 10:33 am

Hello all,
Not sure if anyone else has stumbled on this or cares but, after 18 months of “Poking” and “Prodding” Humminbird, I got an answer form them. Apparently it’s a software issue with a workaround. The following is what I received from them on December 20, 2016.:

“Thank you for contacting Humminbird. We appreciate your interest in our products. We do apologize for the delay. This is a software issue but we have a work around for you. You must have TWR data in the matrix folder created from Auto chart PC for the itracks to import properly. This means you will need to create a waypoint with the itracks when exporting out of Auto chart PC and this will need to be done with the Humminbird connected to the I pilot link system at least once before the itracks will be imported correctly to the Humminbird.”

I won’t be able to test the theory until I’m on the water again. Offering here in case anyone else can use the information.

Cheers,

TheGooly
