Hello,

Very new to autochart. Been working on getting data for a lake. First issue is the black spots on the resulting map. What causes this? Is there a way to fix this?

Second, how far apart should your scanning/recording passes be from each other? Does the side imaging data get used?

I have both the 83 and 200 beams turned on, what do you recommend?

If I understand correctly, I can us a large capacity SD card for getting sonar data--just record to that card, copy it to the pc and then import it into the Autochart program to make the map after inserting the zero lines card?

I read through some posts first. Don't know how to search the forum.

Thanks! Using 798HDsi and regular Autochart program.

Well, using the computer instead of the smart phone to use this forum proved helpful.  I did some searching and found some very helpful tutorials.  Thanks Camohunter for all of your hard work in making the ones that I used.  Very well explained!
